Thalassemias are autosomal recessive disorders of blood that can be passed from parents to their children genecally and affect the amount and type of hemoglobin body produces. Individual with this condion usually has abnormally small red blood cells which may lead to symptoms of anemia such as shortness of breath, weakness, fague etc.
